This hand-painted vessel is characterised by decor 42, also known as the "blue-eye pattern". The pattern is created using a technique called fluxing. This involves using special stencils, called sponges, to carefully and precisely apply the different colours and patterns. This allows the creation of complex and detailed designs that enhance the beauty of the final product.
