Description

French Butter Keeper in Cream – for Soft, Spreadable Butter

This elegant Bolesławiec pottery butter keeper in a cream glaze lets you store butter outside the refrigerator and enjoy it soft and easy to spread. It holds approximately 175 g of butter.

How It Works

A French butter keeper uses water to form a barrier between the butter and the surrounding air. The butter-filled insert is placed upside down in the outer vessel, with its opening submerged in water.

Fill with butter: Allow the butter to soften, then press it firmly into the deep cavity of the lid insert, avoiding air pockets.
Add water: Pour fresh, cold water into the outer vessel. Add enough to submerge the opening of the butter insert when assembled, without causing the water to overflow.
Insert the lid: Turn the filled insert upside down and place it in the outer vessel with the butter opening facing down.

Tips for Use

Change the water regularly and keep both parts clean.
Keep the butter keeper in a cool, shaded place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
In warm room conditions, store the butter in the refrigerator.
Storage time depends on temperature, hygiene and the butter used.
